Welcome

The Centre for the Study of Myth began in 2008-09. It is not a degree-granting program. It is a forum for bringing together those interested in myth, whatever one's approach. The Centre sponsors several talks by experts from different disciplines each semester. The Centre also runs an active discussion list on myth with the University of Essex. It is presently building up the library collection in the field. For any enquiries, contact: Robert Segal, Professor of Religious Studies, University of Aberdeen, the director of the Centre - r.segal@abdn.ac.uk

See the Resources page for a selected list of books on Myth.

The lectures are free and everyone with an interest in the subject matter is warmly welcome to attend.

We are also delighted to confirm that Professor Jay Geller, Associate Professor of Modern Jewish Culture at Vanderbilt University, will be presenting a paper on Wed 5 June 2013. More information will be forthcoming.
