What's the Score? Animation Previews

As part of this year's Music Prize Weekend, a special cinema screening or original compositions for film created by local young people was held at the Belmont Cinema in Aberdeen.

In November 2010, the University of Aberdeen's Music Department opened its doors over a weekend to young people aged 12-18 for workshops on how to create music for film and TV - even if they had no musical experience and couldn't play an instrument. The response was phenomenal and the outcome of the weekend's work was shown for the very first time at this screening.
