Guest Speakers Regina Jaschke (University Careers Adviser) and Ken Thomson (Director General of Strategy and External Affairs to the Scottish Government) talk about careers in and out of music.
A graduate in music, Ken Thomson has been the senior lead on constitutional policy with the Scottish Government since 2005. From 1997 to 1999 he was Principal Private Secretary to the Rt Hon Donald Dewar MP MSP, as First Minister of Scotland, having been private secretary to Scottish Office Ministers in the early 1990s and worked on Scottish devolution. Ken has degrees in music and business. His interests include negotiation, programme and project management and systems thinking and practice.
Ken will talk on careers in government and the civil service and careers outside of music when you have a music degree.
