Visiting & Contacting the Museum
Image: Brass model of the eye with spectacles. c.1785. From 27th June 2008 the displays of Marischal Museum will be closed to the public, due to building work taking place over a two year period as the front part of the building is converted into Aberdeen City Council’s Headquarters.

The University will continue to care for the 80,000 items in the collection, with study access, schools service and temporary exhibitions continuing.

A temporary exhibition venue will be opened in Old Aberdeen while the displays in Marischal Museum are inaccessible to the public.

The museum welcomes enquiries about its collections and services. If you wish to study a particular item or to make arrangements for a school class or other group, please contact the museum.
