The following pages will give you an idea of the social, leisure and other activities in which Aberdeen Medical Students take part. There are also useful links to websites that may be of use to applicants, to give a flavour of life as an Aberdeen Medical Student.
Extracurricular activities are pursued with customary medical student fervour and there are a vast number of clubs and societies in which students at Aberdeen can become involved.
Medical students participate in well-established Societies, student Representation Bodies and undertake activities that benefit their medical and university colleagues. Groups of students also share their interests with their fellows, by establishing new societies and thence developing their own supporting website. Other students interested in medical journalism have established a newsletter publication, which is of considerable interest to staff and students alike.
Medical members of staff are most happy to offer support to such new ventures and will gladly act as a resource for further information - should this be required!
