Aberdeen Health Psychology Group (AHPG) is an active research group within the Institute of Applied Health Sciences. We are not a Health Psychology consulting service, however under normal circumstances, members of the group will collaborate with other researchers across the University if the following criteria for collaboration are met;
i. The health psychology component of the project has the potential for publication in a health psychology journal.
ii. A researcher in the AHPG has been included in the development of the research proposal, has grantholder status and whose time on the project is explicitly funded in the grant budget.
iii. There is potential for capacity building, i.e. potential for addition of a postgraduate research project within the funded study, employment of research staff trained in health psychology or inclusion of a health psychologist as a grant applicant.
iv. The theories, methods and/or topic area of the project are coherent with the research interests of the group.
If we cannot be involved in a project or feel we do not have the appropriate expertise to provide good fit with the study, we will attempt to facilitate appropriate collaborations with health psychologists elsewhere.
Information about the research interests and expertise of the group members can be found on the webpage. Please direct enquiries about collaboration to the member of staff whose expertise is most relevant to your project.
