To improve health through the clinical research of chronic diseases and health care, supporting evidenced based practice and policy.

Outward looking group where strength is in the network of collaborations within DAHS, clinical partners (aided by joint contracts) and externally.

Research

Research work programmes
Organised as four work programmes, each with a clinical lead.  It is the responsibility of each clinical lead to identify research priorities in their work programme, manage the associated portfolio of research and ensure that best practice research governance arrangements are in place for their programme.

As the host research group for Public Health Medicine, the group also provides an academic base for the Clinical Lecturer and Honorary academics in Public Health.

Four cross cutting methodological themes underpin the work of the group and members of the group bring complementary areas of expertise.
