Homepage
Welcome to the University of Aberdeen / NHS Grampian web pages for research governance issues related to clinical research studies involving human participation (including tissue and data).
The page was first published in April 2011. Some sections are still under development; please revisit the site regularly as new content will continue to be made available.
The information on these pages is directed towards Clinical Research with some specific information relating to studies involving drugs and complements the information on the IAHS Research Governance and Quality Assurance website and NHS Grampian R&D website which is relevant to all types of clinical research.
Both the University and NHS Grampian now provide electronic authorisations for NHS ethics and R&D project applications (for all studies including clinical trials). Details on who to detail as sponsor representative will be sent to you when study documents have been reviewed for sponsorship.
For those new to electronic authorisations downloadable step-by-step instructions can be found on the IRAS website via the authorisations tab available through project forms.
