Welcome to the Centre for Medical Humanities

The Centre for Medical Humanities was established in April 2009 initially to support the four areas of Medical Humanities activity at the University of Aberdeen, the Student Selected Component (SSC), Intercalated Degree, MB ChB Medical Humanities 'thread', and Student Medical Humanities Association. It was envisaged that the Centre would also become a platform for the development of Medical Humanities research, knowledge exchange, CPD, and public engagement programmes. To this end, since October 2009, various academic seminars, workshops and public events have been organised and supported by the Centre. We have made links with interested colleagues at Robert's Gordon's University, and, in future, we hope to increase the involvement of health service staff in the activities of the Centre. If you are interested in learning more about, or taking part in our work and plans, please contact the coordinators.
