Research Themes
The Division of Medical and Dental Education is committed to promoting the dynamic links between its teaching and research. It provides a supportive environment to promote scholarship in medical and dental education.
Medical Education research at the University of Aberdeen covers several broad medical education themes (see topic list on the left of this page).
These originally evolved on the basis of individual interests but now reflect the development and expansion of research expertise.
The activities in these themes are inter-related and many members of the Division of Medical and Dental Education contribute to more than one theme.
New members of staff are encouraged to develop their own research projects within the Division research themes.
