Presentations and Workshops
Medical educators from the University of Aberdeen present regularly at national and international medical educational conferences such as:
- Association for the Study of Medical Education (ASME)
- Association for Medical Education Europe (AMEE)
- The Ottawa Conferences on Clinical Competence
Research findings are also disseminated at other relevant fora such as the Scottish Clinical Skills Network; British Pharmaceutical Society, Royal College and Quality Assurance (QAA) meetings.
Medical educators from Aberdeen have lead Higher Education Academy workshops, for example:
- Developing a faculty of medical educators (Dr Jennifer Cleland)
- Training the assessors in Mini-CEX (Dr Nishan Fernando)
and contributed as speakers at ASME Workshops (eg, Dr Alan Denison)
The University of Aberdeen jointly with the North/North East Postgraduate Deanery hosted the Association for the Study of Medical Education (ASME)'s Annual Conference in 2006.
