The University of Aberdeen is dedicated to promoting arts, culture and ideas to serve society and enrich the lives of our communities. We play a leading role in the cultural life of the North-east of Scotland and across the country. We are a proud sponsor of the Scottish Review of Books.
The Scottish Review of Books is Scotland’s literary newspaper. Launched in 2005, it is published quarterly, and appears with the Saturday edition of The Herald newspaper. Edited by Alan Taylor, the magazine has many distinguished contributors and commentators. The review is also available by subscription, and is published online where there is an archive of previous issues.
Our vision for our partnership with the Scottish Review of Books is to promote our commitment to literary culture; bring us closer to respected authors, scholars and international literary organisations; and inspire and encourage readers of all ages across the country, including students and school pupils, to communicate in print with style and impact.
