Welcome to the University of Aberdeen May Festival
Welcome to the May Festival – an exciting brand new festival for the north-east of Scotland from the University of Aberdeen. The University has taken great pride over recent years in organising events that have proved hugely popular with a range of audiences across north-east Scotland and beyond. The May Festival builds on our record of success in organising the Word Festival and as host of the hugely popular 2012 British Science Festival.
Over the 10 – 12 of May, the Festival will showcase the many strengths of the University with events spanning science, music, literature, film, Gaelic, and food and nutrition. We want the Festival to offer something for everyone, for all ages and interests – and with events taking place in a range of venues across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire it will be a Festival that is accessible to everyone. The University is proud of the role it has in enhancing the cultural and intellectual life of its region and beyond. We continue to do that with this exciting new addition to the north-east calendar of events.
