The University Office contains almost all of the University's central administration sections (with the exception of the Student Accomodation Office, which is in the Hub).
Sections housed in this building include the Student Recruitment and Admissions Service, who can arrange visits for potential applicants as well as give information on student life and the courses available at Aberdeen; the Registry, who look after the administration of student timetables, exams, etc; the International Office and SOCRATES/ERASMUS Unit, which look after overseas students; the Finance Office; Residential & Catering Services (halls, food, conferences, etc); Estates Section, who deal with buildings, grounds, repairs, etc.
The Director of Student Support Services, who is responsible for student welfare, can be found here too.
The University Office also contains the offices of those who deal with managing the University and planning its future: the Principal, the Secretary, the Court & Planning sections, as well as the Faculties Office from which the four Deans operate. In addition Public Relations, Human Resources, the Development Trust (the University's fundraising unit), and the Alumni Relations Office (for graduates of the University) are located here.
