Tiki - The Science of great coffee...

...doesn't involve maniacal laughter and placing electrodes on poor, defenceless beans. It does, on the other hand, involve employing expert scientists to get us closer to the perfect cup of coffee.

Tiki have worked in the lab to understand the science of freshness -discovering that newly roasted beans have flavour characteristics of their own.

When we say "lab", we really mean it - we're serious about the science. We've even got a machine to finely chop (not grind) the beans for our filter coffee.

After, of course, the blades have been introduced to some liquid nitrogen at -180 degrees centigrade…

Our Tiki Cafes, located in IMS, Polwarth, Crombie Hall and MacRobert offer a wide selection of hot and cold snacks, hot drinks and other refreshments. Or if you need to get online during a coffee break, why not visit our Tiki internet Café in the HUB. We also have Tiki on the Go so you can pick up a tea or coffee en route, located at Taylor or QML.
