Information

The Field Station is based in old lighthouse keeper's cottage and the Old Buoy Store on Cromarty's harbour front. Situated at the tip of the Black Isle, Cromarty is over 700 years old and was built on fishing and trading links with Europe. Based in the centre of the Moray Firth the Field Station is ideally situated for studies of marine mammal populations and other aspects of the Moray Firth's marine environment.
