The talks in the second part of the day are focused on the academic disciplines that are available within the area of Arts and Social Sciences, and allow prospective students to find out more about the options available to them. Remember, when you apply to the MA in Aberdeen you apply to the MA, not a specific subject, so you have the opportunity to investigate what really interests you before you make your final subject choices during Advising Week (also known as Freshers Week).
The talks are scheduled in such a way so as to minimise potential clashes of interest but it may be the case that two subjects that interest you have talks taking place at the same time - if this does happen, simply attend one of the subject talks and visit the academic subject display of the other subject for the information that you may have obtained at its talk.
