The work of Anna Shortland, Curator for Learning and Access, and her colleagues, has been featured in a recent article in the Times Educational Supplement

Primary School pupils at local schools have amazing opportunites to interact with our nationally significant collections through a range of exciting workshops based on artefacts curated by the University Museums. One of the most popular topics is 'Death on the Nile' where children explore the mummification process used in ancient Egypt. Other workshops include 'Touching the Past: the Romans', 'Revealing the North: Picts and Vikings', and 'The Way it Was: the Victorians'.

All of our workshops are free, and run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. You can find information about King's Museum, and the Special Collections workshops and Experience Days in our Primary Schools Programme.

Please email kingsmuseum@abdn.ac.uk  or call (01224) 274330 for information on activities for schools.
