The Archaeology of Middle Earth
Speaker: Dr Charlotta Hillerdal, University of Aberdeen
Venue: New King's, room 10
Tolkien’s Middle Earth is one of the most complex factious worlds ever created. Walking with the fellowship of the ring through the landscape of Middle Earth, the past is constantly present in the form of graves, ruins and other ancient monuments. Even though only mentioned in passing, the archaeological remains functions as a reminder of an ancient history and gains the world credibility.
All are welcome to this series of public lectures organised by King's Museum. This event is free.
