Speaker: Tutor(s): Janet MacKay, Susan McCourt and Elaine Shallcross

Venue: University Library, Floor 2, PC classroom 3

Find out how largest and broadest databases covering arts, humanities, medicine, sciences, social sciences and technology can help you find material to support your research and literature searching. Covers searching, SFX and full text linking, importing records into RefWorks and a number of advanced database features.

This is a combined database session – you may not require use of the Scopus database depending on your subject interest and can leave after the Web of Knowledge portion of the class.

Important notes: To make effective use of Web of Knowledge and Scopus you should already be familiar with how to plan a keyword search and construct a search strategy. These topics are covered in Literature Searching Part 1: Essential Skills for Success.

Demonstration and hands-on exercises included.
