Workshops

A minimum of three hours is required to have a good understanding of how RefWorks functions. Training sessions are available for:

Academic staff and research postgraduates

Information Consultants offer free training courses for University staff in Taylor Building, Room A1. Workshops generally last 90 minutes. A full list of courses offered by the Library can be accessed via the University's course booking web page.

Research postgraduates

Workshops are also offered through the Skills for Research Excellence Programme. They can be booked through the University's course booking web page. Courses generally last 90 minutes and are held at various times throughout the academic year.

Undergraduates and taught postgraduates

Free instructional sessions can be booked online via the course booking web page. Workshops last 1 hour and are held at lunchtimes between October and April each academic session. Workshops in support of dissertation research are held in June after the exam period.

Small group training

If you can organise a small group from your course of study (minimum of 6 required), you can arrange an individual instructional workshop with an Information Consultant. Please note that availability of trainers is very limited in the first half session.

Please contact Susan McCourt, Elaine Shallcross or Janet MacKay for more details.
