Co-Labs

Co-Lab in University Library

What are Co-Labs?

Our purpose built ‘Co-Labs’ are a new kind of library space specifically designed for group work, such as presentations. They offer new ways of engaging with other learners to exchange ideas, enabling you to work together more effectively on all kinds of collaborative academic projects.

What's in them?

Co-Labs have built-in information technology facilities to allow you to use a range of digital media. They include a PC, a plasma screen for viewing DVDs or online content, and multiple ports for headphones. They have seating space for between four and seven people.

Where are they?

There are Co-Labs on Floors 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the Sir Duncan Rice Library. These are arranged in clusters of four, giving 16 of these spaces in total. Turn to the right as you come out of the public lift: they are located in the north-east corner on each floor.
