Books

Scandinavian language books are on Floor 5 of The Sir Duncan Rice Library, within the shelfmark range 439.5-439.9, while historical linguistics can be found at 417.7.
Scandinavian literature is shelved on Floor 4, within the range 839.5-839.9 (Swedish, Norwegian and Danish) and 894.541 (Finnish literature).

The scope of Scandinavian Studies is wide, so please check Primo to find locations and availability. The study of Runic inscriptions and early writing systems can be placed within the language section but may also be in Archaeology. Early religious experience and church history are on Floor 7 in the Divinity section. Works may also be found in the History section, such as those on Swedish statesmen, and in Classics, such as Latin verse and hymns.
