NHS Knowledge Network

Use your ATHENS password to log into the The Knowledge Network.

The Knowledge Network includes full text electronic journals and bibliographic databases, and is available to all NHS Scotland staff. Access is possible from anywhere, and is by ATHENS username and password. Passwords are available to the following groups who should apply using the link from the Knowledge Network homepage.

• Staff of NHS Scotland (including contractors such as general practitioner staff, community pharmacy staff, dental surgery staff

• Undergraduate or postgraduate students working or training with NHS Scotland

• Social services, public library staff and other local authority staff  working in partnership with the NHS

• Other partners including staff in higher and further education, Scottish Government staff, voluntary sector organisations, nursing homes, the armed services and patient/public representatives on NHS groups

Please note that University of Aberdeen computer usernames and passwords will not work. Please refer any questions to our NHS colleagues at Cornhill or Dr Gray's, Elgin, rather than to the Medical Library.
