	teaching with LEMUR
	LEMUR has been designed around a series of specific undergraduate courses for the University of Aberdeen in Cultural History, History and Philosophy of Science, History of Art and Physics. These courses are: Cultural History Culture, History and Anthropology Culture, Identity and Technology Material Culture and Museums History and Philosophy of Science History and Philosophy of Science 1 History and Philosophy of Science 2 Modern Physical Sciences History of Art Painting in a Stateless Nation: Scottish Art 1707-1837 Physics Light Science The LEMUR database brings together a wealth of material from the University's collections that can be used for teaching in the Arts, Social Sciences and Sciences not only at Aberdeen but also more widely throughout the Higher Education community. High quality digital images and the basic computer catalogue will be enhanced with contextualising material, such as early hand-written inventories and letters from the collectors, as well as a virtual re-creation of the displays at Marischal Museum.
