2017 Law Honours Dissertation Presentations

2017 Law Honours Dissertation Presentations
-

This is a past event

Members of the 2016-2017 law honours dissertation class will be giving short (10-minute) presentations on their law dissertation topics, research and writing. The event will be recorded. Time will be allowed for questions following each presentation, and there will be time for an open discussion at the end of the presentations.

The event is intended to give members of the dissertation class of 2017 a chance to articulate their dissertation ideas and structures and to receive positive feedback from peers and others.

The event should be of interest to law dissertation students generally but also to students in Year 3 of their law studies. It is also hoped that some staff members will be able to attend the event.

Current presentation topics include:

  • The Rights of the Child and the Rights of the Refugee Child
  • A critical legal analysis of the implications of crypto-anarchism and proposals to tame the burgeoning ‘Wild West’
  • The UN Security Council: An International Human Rights Policeman?
  • A critical examination of the sufficiency of copyright law in relation to streaming media and user-generated content – need for a reboot?
  • Empowering people to deliver great places: is Recommendation 44 the answer?

The event will be chaired by Aylin Bahmanyar and the closing discussions will be facilitated by Shanardra Fadhilah.

All welcome!
