Postgraduate Taught Programmes January 2013

First of all, thank you for choosing Aberdeen for your postgraduate degree in law. We look forward to welcoming you to our Law School in the New Year.

Please note that in order to be cleared for admission and commence your studies you will need to (1) meet all the conditions contained in your offer and (2) formally accept our offer and complete your financial guarantee form. For queries regarding the status of your admission, please email the Postgraduate Admissions Team in Student Recruitment & Admissions on pgadmissions@abdn.ac.uk or telephone + 44 (0) 1224 273 506, quoting your student ID number (which will be on your offer letter).

You should also check the University of Aberdeen's web page for new students for further useful information about starting your studies.

Registration for the LLM programmes will take place on Monday 28th January. There will be a Welcome Meeting for you in the morning and you will register with the law school at that meeting and with the University Registry in the afternoon. You MUST bring your final Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies with you to the Welcome Meeting. Without it you will not be able to register. You will also have to complete your e-Registration before you will be able to finalise your registration and collect your ID card. Full details on e-registration will be sent with your joining pack from Postgraduate Admissions, and it is recommended that you complete your e-Registration before you arrive in Aberdeen.

The Postgraduate Induction Week programme will also begin on Monday 28th January. A preliminary Induction Week timetable is available for download below. We strongly recommend that you attend all meetings on the Induction Week programme. It provides a valuable introduction to the Law School and to studying law in Scotland and the UK. In addition to this, you will also find out more about the courses available and make your course choices academic year.
