Evening Classes in Modern Languages
The Language Centre offers a broad range of evening courses in many different foreign languages and at 5 different levels. For a general description of our levels please click here.
With continuous study from start to finish, the completion of each level would normally take 1 academic year and consists of three 10-week terms. For example, a complete beginner in French would start at French Beginners 1, then in the next term would take French Beginners 2 and then French Beginners 3. The following year the person would start with French Pre-Intermediate 1, then take French Pre-Intermediate 2, followed by French Pre-Intermediate 3. And so on . . .
2012/13 Term Dates and course details
All our evening classes run over 10 weeks, one evening per week for two hours. The majority of our classes cost £120 to the general public and £110 to University of Aberdeen University staff and students. The class size is generally between 10 and 20 students. We do however offer a few courses at the higher cost of £200 with a maxium class size of 8 people as these are classes at advanced levels which attract fewer participants.

Please register using your debit card or credit card on our online store. University staff and students need to enter their ID number in order to pay the reduced rate.
Follow the link given below to sign up online(we recommend that you enter via Short Courses listed in the top left Navigation column rather than via the middle of the screen as it is easier to see the choice of courses available - then just scroll down through the alphabetically listed courses).
Alternatively, you can download the form following the link below. Once completed either return by post or drop it into the Language Centre mail box. All postal applications need to be accompanied by a cheque (please write your name, address and course on the reverse). Credit card payments can be made online in the Language Centre reception during office hours. Please note that we do not accept cash.

We reserve the right to cancel a class where insufficient numbers register. In this case we will refund all monies paid.
