What can language and linguistics be used for? | How

All
first-year undergraduates who are interested in studying Language and Linguistics
(and/or English) at Honours level are required to take either English Structure and Use or Communication and Language in the Modern World. At Level 2, there are four course
options:
These then lead on to Junior and Senior Honours-level courses on a wide range of theoretical and practical topics, which in several cases allow students to plan and conduct original research projects.
There are two ways in which you can study language and linguistics as a major component of your degree at Honours level:

If you have fewer than 60 credits from these courses you can still apply, but you should explain in your application that your interest was raised after you would have been able to achieve the required credits.
