
MSD SULSA Fellowships in Drug Discovery
Five Aberdeen projects have been awarded fellowships by the MSD SULSA postdoctoral awards scheme
Congratulations to all of those at Aberdeen who were awarded funding from the MSD SULSA call for postdoctoral projects. We achieved an unprecedented level of success and express our thanks to those who orchestrated the submission. Awards totalling over £270k were made to: Matteo Zanda and Iain Greig, "Novel fluorination techniques"; Marcel Jaspars, "Development of P-glycoprotein antagonists to target inhibition of multiple drug resistance in cancer"; Alex Brand, "Inhibition of fungal biodeterioration in silicone medical device;" Carol Munro and Iain Greig, "Inhibitors of the synthesis of chitin"; Andy Porter and Matteo Zanda, "Development of an antibody based PET system for accurate detection and diagnosis of liver fibrosis."
