
Kosterlitz Funding Awards
Kosterlitz Pump Priming Awards have been made to programmes to develop antibodies against a protein associated with post-ischaemic scarring of the heart tissue, to a programme to develop a radiolabelled molecule to report on tumour angiogenesis and to a groundbreaking project which aims to develop small molecules to control the insulin gene for the treatment of type I and type II diabetes
Congratulations to Dr Dana Dawson on receiving £20k from the KCT and from the Knowledge Exchange and Transfer Fund (KETF) for the development of immuno-PET directed to thrombospondin 2 for identification of hypertrophic responses of the left ventricle, to Dr John Barrow on receiving £20k from KETF and the development trust for developing small molecules to control the insulin gene, and to Dr Ian Fleming for receiving £15k from KETF and Roemex Ltd for Developing a radiolabelled molecule to report on tumour angiogenesis.
