Commercialisation Awards

Scientists can access the University Commercialisation Awards (Knowledge Transfer Grants) via the Kosterlitz Team. The team will assess the commercial opportunity and give assistance on the application process. Furthermore, applicants will be encouraged to seek synergies with other commercialisation projects to facilitate sharing of expertise and recourses.

Grants can be applied for a number of purposes: Early stage pump priming to validate an existing patent, or to lead to the creation of new IP; Commercialisation sabbaticals (6 months-1 year) for academic staff to pursue a project of commercial promise; Industrial sabbaticals; For commissioned market research; To commercialise the University's IPR in some other way.
