Kosterlitz Centre for Therapeutics Pump Priming Funding – Call for Applications
The goal of this pilot grant programme is to provide funds that give investigators the opportunity to gather the preliminary data needed to develop a promising discovery/innovation in the field of drug discovery. It is anticipated that funded projects will relate to translational / applied studies on new disease models, targets, mechanisms, therapeutic or diagnostic agents and will advance the project to the point at which it can attract external funding. Collaborative programmes will be welcomed, including collaborations with industry.
Awards will be of £5 – 10k; however, applicants will be encouraged to apply for matched funding through the University Knowledge Exchange and Translational Funding (KETF) Awards scheme. The KCT will work with applicants, as required, on KETF Award applications. Thus programmes costing up to £20k may be proposed with tranched funding.
Email application form to Dr Iain Greig (i.greig@abdn.ac.uk) by 31st August. Assessment will take into account the outcome of the KETF call and successful applicants will be notified by 1st of October.
