Joint Session Conference
11th - 13th July 2008
The Joint Session is the annual conference of The Aristotelian Society held in conjunction with The Mind Association. It is the largest and primary conference for philosophers in the UK. There is a wide subject base and international speaker profile.
This year the Conference will be hosted by the University of Aberdeen between the 11th and 13th July. This website enables delegates to submit papers for presentation, and book their place at the Conference.
Please note that only members of the Aristotelian Society or the Mind Association may attend the Conference.
Details of how to subscribe to The Aristotelian Society or The Mind Association are available on their respective websites.
The Society for Women in Philosophy will be running a session of papers devoted to topics in any area of interest to women in philosophy on the Sunday of the Joint Session.
The papers given by invited speakers are published prior to the conference in The Proceedings of the Aristotelian Society, Supplementary Volume.
Delegates and non-members of the Society can order the conference volume online from the Society's website. Alternatively there is a printable order form available (PDF).
David Mossley from the Subject Centre for Philosophical and Religious Studies will be running a workshop on supporting doctoral students on the Friday. Click here for more details.
