The University of Aberdeen is going places. Our journey of transformation continues, and the latest world rankings confirm that we are the fastest rising UK institution inside the world’s top two hundred. Our unprecedented £9m-plus investment in our intellectual leadership has already attracted more than 70 internationally renowned professors from many of the world’s most prestigious centres of learning. New Blood Lectureships are part of the University’s continued Strategy to enhance its research profile and to seek out outstanding individuals. The College of Physical Sciences comprises a number of academic disciplines organized within three schools. The aim of the College is to be recognised as an international centre of excellence for research, teaching and commercialisation. This will be achieved through well founded academic disciplines operating in a College framework targeted at maximising the potential for cross-disciplinary interaction. The College has an excellent base on which to build in all the disciplines and is involved in many excellent current examples of cross disciplinary projects. The College of Physical Sciences is inviting applications from candidates of exceptional promise, whose research interests intersect with, or broaden and enhance, one or more of the disciplines represented within the College. Successful candidates will benefit from a reduced teaching load at the commencement of their appointment. Appointments will be made on the Lecturer grade 7 scale, from £34,260 to £40,909. Application or informal enquires are welcome and should be made in writing to Human Resources, King’s College, Aberdeen AB24 3FX or by email; humanresources@abdn.ac.uk |
