UPDATE 3: File storage issues - Wednesday 1 July

We are still experiencing major file storage issues. This is affecting access to University H drives for some staff and students.

What is happening?

We are still experiencing major file storage issues.  This is affecting access to University H drives for some staff and students.  Engineers are still working to repair the faulty systems.

In order to address some of the issues we will need reboot some of the University storage systems tonight between 6pm and 8pm.  During this time period file access is at risk as there will be intermittent periods when your files are unavailable.

What should you do?

If you are planning to work on documents that are stored on the affected shared drives during this time period, please save your work locally onto your hard drive or a USB drive.  After this period, copy these files back to the shared drive to enable them to be backed up overnight.

A further update will be issued before 10am tomorrow.  Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
