A number of students come from Pakistan to study at the University of Aberdeen. We also welcome a number of those Pakistani students who are already resident in the UK. Whether you are interested in Undergraduate or Postgraduate Study, the University of Aberdeen has a wide range of study options on offer. 

Aberdeen is the fifth oldest University in the UK with an academic reputation spanning more than 500 years, and we are pleased to announce that Aberdeen is now listed in the top 130 Universities in the World. This fantastic achievement adds to our Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) triumphs in 2009. Aberdeen is amongst the UK’s top research universities, with 89% of research activity of international quality, and 55% world leading or internationally excellent. Our graduates also enjoy the highest starting salaries in Scotland — all good news for our students!

As part of our £230 million investment into infrastructure, our campus now has wireless internet access throughout all buildings across the University campus, including all bedrooms. Summer 2009 saw the completion of the Aberdeen Sports Village, and 2011 brought the completion of the New Library, which has already become established as a major intellectual and cultural learning centre for students in the 21st century. Construction work is currently underway on an Olympic-standard Aquatic Centre that is due for completion in 2014.

The city of Aberdeen also boasts a popular Pakistani restaurant, Lahore Karahi, which is very close to campus and serves delicious and authentic cuisine at reasonable prices. In addition there are plenty of shops selling imported spices and ingredients dotted around the city which are also close to campus such as Bismillah City Spice Shop‎ and The Spice Shop, so you will never feel homesick - or hungry!
