Parents and Sponsors

The University of Aberdeen has a very proud record of supporting students from all over the world. As you would expect for a 500 year old university Aberdeen has been sent government sponsored, and privately sponsored students from oil companies, from all over the Middle East and Gulf region for many, many years.

We understand that international students may require help with English language, and also appreciate that students may require help to extend or renew their visas. The University has a team of International Student Advisors, trained by the UK Home Office, to give specific immigration advice. They are also on hand to discuss any aspect of non academic matters that students may require help with.

The University is very familiar with UK based Embassies and Consulates and understands that sponsors require student transcripts in a timely manner. The International Office is in regular contact with such goverment and private sponsors and is delighted to assist with visits from sponsoring bodies to meet with their students and to learn more about the unique education which Aberdeen offers all its students.

If you require any further information on the University of Aberdeen please do not hesitate to contact the International Officer for this region, Mr Dominic Milne
