I had lived in London for a number of years and decided I’d like to experience a new environment away from what I was used to. I also knew that Aberdeen had an excellent Psychology School, so it was the natural choice for me.
I’ve always had an interest in people and the way they think and function, so a degree in psychology was the best way for me to expand my knowledge.
Absolutely. I was actually surprised at how everyone that I came into contact with were friendly and welcoming. I definitely want to be there for next years! I became a member of the University hockey club and the Psychology Society, both of which I’ve had a lot of fun with. I’ve also made a lot of new friends by joining them on nights out, which are definitely well worth it.
I like Aberdeen because it has the history of an ancient city
and all the good points that come with living in a modern,
up-beat area, like the shops, accessibility and nightlife and
few of the problems that come with living in a larger city like litter, pollution and overcrowding.
At first I needed to get used to it, but now that I’ve been in the area for a while I do find it easy to get around, and even when I don’t, everyone is always friendly and eager to help out.
Varied, thrilling and historic.
