Mexico

The University of Aberdeen is home to students from over 120 countries worldwide. Of the approximate 16,000 current students at Aberdeen around 19 percent are from countries outside of the United Kingdom. There are over 30 students from Latin and South America on our campus including students from Mexico, Brazil, Columbia and Venezuela, to name a few.

The University of Aberdeen recently hosted a visit from His Excellency Eduardo Medina Mora, Mexican Ambassador to the United Kingdom. His Excellency heard of the academic and industrial partnerships forged between the University and key Mexican organisations, specifically within the oil and gas industry. His visit recognises the growing economic and industrial links between the Granite City and Mexico which has lead to a vibrant Mexican community in the north-east.
