Malaysia

The University of Aberdeen is home to students from over 120 countries worldwide. Of the approximate 15,000 current students at Aberdeen approximately 100 students are from Malaysia.

Students from Malaysia study a wide range of courses at the University. Aberdeen is recognised as a specialist provider of oil and gas training programmes at Undergraduate, Master and Doctoral level. Programmes include Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geology & Petroleum Geology and many more.

The University has an agreement with International Medical University (IMU) in Malaysia which allows ten students from IMU to transfer to the third year of University of Aberdeen's Medicine degree, every year. The process of admission for these students is quite distinct and our leaflet on Medicine for Malaysian and IMU Students will provide further information.
