The University of Aberdeen has numerous study opportunities for both visiting exchange students and our own that would like to spend part of their degree in another country.

Non-graduating or Visiting Students

We take pleasure in welcoming visiting students from the United States of America, Canada, and the European Union.

We have new exchanges links in Hong Kong and Japan.

Visiting students can study with us for a single semester or a full academic year and there are wide ranges of courses on offer, with the exception of Clinical Medicine.

University of Aberdeen Students

Many of our students broaden their horizons with a year abroad. This is built into your study and is an integral part of your degree rather than an extra year. We operate exchanges with 11 colleges and universities in the USA, 4 universities in Canada, 5 universities in Hong Kong, 1 university in Japan and 1 university in Korea. We also have links with 120 universities in the European Union, along with Iceland and Norway.
