The University of Aberdeen has numerous study opportunities for both visiting exchange students and our own that would like to spend part of their degree in another country.

Non-graduating or Visiting Students

We take pleasure in welcoming visiting students from all around the world. 

Visiting students can study with us for a single semester or a full academic year and there are wide ranges of courses on offer, the following entry routes are available:

• International Study Abroad 
  Students coming from outside the European Union.
• Exchanges
  Students coming through an exchange link via their home university/college.
• ERASMUS
  Students coming from an institution within the European Union, with an ERASMUS link. 
• Undergraduate Clinical Elective Students  
  Students who are studying a medical degree and want to come to Aberdeen for a Clinical Elective.

University of Aberdeen Students

Many of our students broaden their horizons with a year abroad. This is built into your study and is an integral part of your degree rather than an extra year. We operate exchanges with colleges and universities in the USA, Canada, Hong Kong and Japan. We also have links with 120 universities in the European Union, along with Iceland and Norway.
