Academic English Preparation Programme

This is intended for students whose English language skills are significantly lower than the minimum required for direct entry. The AEPP lasts for a full academic year (40 weeks of study), with different entry points depending on the qualifications and level of English that students have when they apply.

The AEPP consists of classes, guided learning, laboratory sessions, individual tutorials and assessment tasks. As the main aim of the programme is to equip students with the necessary language and academic skills for studying in Higher Education, classes typically focus on the development of academic writing, reading, listening and speaking skills.

There are also a number of project-based classes each week which are designed to develop students' ability to research, analyse and present information.
