Registration

New students

Information on how to become a registered student is available on the registration pages of the New Students' Website.

Continuing and returning students

Every continuing or returning student must re-register at the start of each new academic year by following the steps below.

  • Step 1 - Complete Electronic Registration (eRegistration) to confirm your personal, financial and academic details and set up your University computer and email account.

A useful Step-by-Step Guide is available. The Guide is comprehensive so you are advised not to print it but (if your web browser allows) keep it open at the same time as you open the eRegistration portal. If you cannot find the answer you need in the Guide or among the Frequently Asked Questions, email the eRegistration team for further assistance.

  • Step 2 - Approval of your academic curriculum (undergraduate students) or School Registration (postgraduate students). In this step, you meet with an academic member of staff to choose your courses.
  • Step 3 - Complete visa check (international students only). The Tier 4 team will email you with information on the time and place of the visa check.
  • Step 4 - Access your timetable

How and where to complete these steps will vary, depending on what category of student you are, for example, whether you are an undergraduate, postgraduate, visiting, or off-campus student. Your Registration Guide, with a set of instructions specific to your category of student, is available from the Registration Guides link.
