Diaries at the ready! These are the key dates you really want to know.

Term dates and week numbers for academic years 2012-13 and 2013-14 are available on the main University term dates webpage. 

Please note; these dates will apply to most students, but may be different for students studying Medicine, Dentisty, Medical Science and for postgraduate taught students. Contact your School Office if you have any queries about term dates for your programme.

Week numbers

Week numbers can be very useful to know, and be very useful to help you get organised. For the 2012/13 academic session, Week 1 began on 9 July 2012.

• Week 11 – Advising week  (week commencing 18 September)
• Weeks 12-23 – First half-session (weeks commencing 24 September)
• Weeks 24-26 - Christmas vacation (weeks commencing 17 December)
• Week 27 - Revision week (week commencing 7 January)
• Weeks 28-29 – January exam diet (exams commence on Saturday 12 January)
• Weeks 30-37 - Second half-session (weeks commencing 28 January)
• Weeks 38-40 - Easter vacation (weeks commencing 25 March)
• Week 41-44 - Second half session (weeks commencing 15 April)
• Week 45 - Revision week (week commencing 13 May) 
• Weeks 46-48 – May/June exam diet (weeks commencing 20 May)
• Weeks 5-6 – August resit exam diet (exams commence 10 August)
