Centre for Genome-Enabled Biology and Medicine

The Centre for Genome-Enabled Biology and Medicine (CGEBM) provides a focus for genomics activity at the University of Aberdeen.

The Centre aims to provide next generation sequencing (NGS) capacity and other genome enabling technologies as a platform for applied translational, clinical, biomedical and biological research. The facility will focus on driving genome focussed research forward by developing and exploiting modern genomic technologies to accelerate discovery of novel approaches to improve human health, the environment and agriculture. The facility will provide infrastructure and expertise for projects with diverse applications, such as de novo sequencing, epigenomics, transcriptomics, SNP discovery, and whole genome and targeted re-sequencing in microbes, plants and animals.
