Aberdeen Proteomics
A proud history of high quality Proteomics Service provision: Aberdeen Proteomics provides proteomics services to the academic and industrial research communities on a wide range of sample types, including clinical, mammalian, plant, microbial and viral samples. We serve research groups in the UK and abroad. We have comprehensive instrumentation and expertise enabling a range of services to be provided from one-off protein identifications up to quantitative large-scale proteomic studies for a wide range of organisms. Our facility started in 1986 with the formation of the Aberdeen Amino Acid Sequencing Service. Funding from the Scottish Funding Council enabled the development of the Aberdeen Proteome Facility (1997). This facility has collaborated with The Consortium for the Functional Genomics of Microbial Eukaryotes (
, funded by the BBSRC under the Investigating Gene Function (IGF) Initiative) to deliver proteomics for the fungal community.
