Novel MR Techniques

PEDRI (Proton Electron Double Resonance Imaging)
PEDRI is a technique for imaging the distribution of free radicals within the body.

 Ultra-Low Field MR
We are developing compact MRI systems to image of specific parts of the body at fields of between 0.01 and 0.02 T.

 Sequence Development
Development of new MR pulse sequences for application in virtually all of our clinical and pre-clinical imaging research.

 Field-Cycled MRI
We have developed highly specialised MRI systems in which the magnetic field can be switched between different values during the collection of an image, always returning to a fixed value to read out the signals that are used for image reconstruction.

 CW-MRI
We have developed techniques for imaging solid materials by continuous-wave (CW) MRI.  The major advantage of CW-MRI compared to other solid-MRI methods is its ability to image materials with any T2 value, no matter how short.
