About the IMS
The Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) was founded in 1996 with the recognition that medical science of the 21st century would no longer be divided in separate subject areas but involve tight collaboration between basic scientists and research clinicians using diverse tools in the areas of biochemistry, molecular biology, physiology and behavioural studies. Research is organized into Programmes which recognize the topics of research excellent in Aberdeen.
