Integrative Physiology Post-Graduate Conferences
The 5th Integrative Physiology Post-Graduate students conference (May 2010) has been cancelled. Please look out for details of the next conference later this year.
The IP theme runs an annual conference for post-graduate students working in integrative physiology. Particularly those students working in fields related to our own areas of interest (see home page). The purpose of the conferences is to provide a forum for late stage PG students and first year post-docs to meet others working in similar fields. The meeting includes about 30 invited speakers from across the UK and lasts a day and a half.
The format will be the same as for the first four meetings. Delegates will arrive on the evening of Wednesday the 26th. The meeting will start on the 27th and continue until late afternoon on the 28th. Talks will last about 12-15 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions. There will be a couple of plenary style talks as well and an informal evening meal on the night of the 28th. Slots are available for 30 presentations. The best 3 talks will be awarded prizes and certificates. The first prize will be £250 cash. Second and third prizes will be £125 cash.
Invited participants will have ALL their travel and accommodation expenses, plus all their meals paid for. We will be inviting participants to take part in the meeting between September and November 20xx. At present the meeting is only open to second and final year PhD students and first year post-docs registered in the UK. If you would like to be considered for invitation then please e-mail John Speakman at j.speakman@abdn.ac.uk with IP conference 2011 in the subject line.
